UniWave is an events listing website of the most popular and exciting student events in and around universities across the UK.
No. Anyone is free to sign up and use UniWave however UniWave is intended for the use of university students and you may find that some organisers may not grant you access to their events if you are not a student.
Generally, once an event has been canelled, organisers will also cancel the sale of tickets for their event which will result in their listing being removed from UniWave. However, the organiser may not immediately cancel the sale of their tickets but if the event remains listed, please feel free to contact us about it and we will investigate it.
We do not sell tickets through our platform. You are transferred to trusted ticketing platforms like Fatsoma, Skiddle and Eventbrite to complete your purchase.
UniWave is a platform intended to make it easier and convenient for students to stay up to date with their favourite student events. We do not sell tickets through our platform.
If you were transferred to Fatsoma to purchase your tickets, you can view all your tickets here https://www.fatsoma.com/orders. Please ensure you log into the account used when purchasing your order.
If you were transferred to Eventbrite to Purchase your tickets, the easiest way to get your tickets is to find your email order confirmation; tickets are usually attached as a PDF file you can print. Can't find them, having trouble printing, or not sure if you have an Eventbrite account? Just enter your email address at https://www.eventbrite.com/gettickets. Or reference the https://www.eventbrite.com/mytickets page within your account. If you think you typo'd your email address, you can check here.
If you were transferred to Skiddle, you can find out more about how to access your tickets here.
You can contact the organiser through our platform by going to the organisers' profile page of whom you bought the tickets from. Alternatively, you can contact Fatsoma, Eventbrite or Skiddle directly.
You can send your complaint to us by getting in contact with us here.
We are not involved in the purchase and refund of tickets. You must contact the organiser on our platform or the ticketing platform you bought the tickets from.
This is entirely up to the organiser and what policies they have in place. Some organisers may sell non-transferable or non-refundable tickets and others will if the event is cancelled. If in any doubt, contact the organiser before purchasing any tickets.
You can earn rewards for sharing an organisers event to your friends on social media platforms such as Snapchat, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Organisers choose what these rewards but typical rewards could range from free drinks, a bottle of alcohol, a free ticket into the event or countless other rewards. If you see a reward that you like, attached to a particular event, be sure to get involved so that you can earn it.
Rewards are redeemable, so when you have earned your reward you will receive an email with your reward attached which you will be able to redeem from the organiser.
You can partner up with us here to list your events on UniWave.
No. However, UniWave is best suited for student event organisers or organisers who wish to promote events that they would like to target to students.
Yes you can create free events on UniWave but we do not offer any ticketing options. If you would like paid tickets for your event, then you must create your event on Fatsoma or Eventbrite then list your event on UniWave from your dashboard.
Free events are free to list on UniWave. For paid events we charge a 10% co-promotion fee for every ticket we sell through the platform to cover our operational costs. You can pass this fee on to your customer though.
We have just recently launched UniWave. Therefore we only support Fatsoma (which we recommend) and Eventbrite for now. We are working on adding support for many other platforms soon.
After you upgrade your account to an organiser account, we automatically send you a verification link to your email. If you have not received the email, please click here to resend the email. On this page, you may also change the organiser email address if you have provided us with the wrong private organiser email address.
A submitted event means that we have saved a draft of your event but it is not yet live on our platform. This could be because you have not verified your account or you have not set up co-promotion for the event which is a requirement for every live event on our platform. If you have done this already and your event still isn't live, please contact us.
This is automatically done for you by Fatsoma. We will receive our payout directly from them so after you've list your event and set up the co-promotion, you don't need to worry about that.
After your event has passed, we will send you an email reminding you issue the payout which you must do through Eventbrite.
If you listed your event through Eventbrite then it is your responsibility to issue the payout to us after your event has passed for any tickets we have helped you sold. You can do that here.
We would have sent you an email about the reason for the suspension of your organiser account. If you have not received an email. Please contact us.
If you have created a free event on UniWave which you have cancelled, please remove the listing of this event from your dashboard. If you have listed your event through Fatsoma or Eventbrite then once you cancel your event and the sale of tickets on those platforms, the event will automatically be unlisted on UniWave.
