2. WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?

3.1 PERSONAL DATA

We collect personal data submitted by you during the registration process in order to better personalise your experience here at UniWave. This may include your first name, last name, email address and social media username for the purposes of authentication. 

We collect any information you choose to submit via the website which includes your event preferences to better personalise your experience here at UniWave.

3.2 COMMUNICATION

All communications between you and UniWave regardless of the medium is subject to logging for audit purposes - this includes but is not limited to phone conversations and emails.

3.3 SYSTEM LOGS

Access information may be gathered when you use our services, including device IP addresses, access dates and times, system activity including any malfunction on the website or screens viewed, and the third-party sites or services you were using before using our service.

We gather information in the form of system logs which consist of your public facing IP address, access dates/times as well as any errors generated on our website during your use. It is standard practice to log this information for audit purposes - we do not use this information to market or sell any products.

This information is gathered upon your visit to any page on our website and/or related services.

We also log each time you visit an event on our website in order to allow organisers to understand where their customers are coming from and what events they are interested in.

3.4 TELEMATICS DATA

We may collect location data from the device you are using in order to better personalise your experience.

3.5 THIRD PARTY SERVICES

If you choose to connect your UniWave account with a third party, like Facebook for example, we may ask for access to information held by the third party. They will allow you to consent or deny access, and you can control this via the privacy controls on the third party application. Be aware of the privacy policies of any third party service you use, even if you have reached that service through a link from UniWave. We collect your username and email address at these third party providers for the sole purpose of providing an alternative method of authenticating to our services.

UniWave will also link you to other ticketing platforms to purchase tickets. For example, Fatsoma, Skiddle and EventBrite. You must also be aware of their privacy polices and terms and conditions as they will differ to our terms and conditions and privacy policy.

3.6 OTHER PEOPLE'S CONSENT

If you choose to share someone’s information with us, it’s your responsibility to ensure they consent to you doing so.

3.7 SHARING YOUR DATA WITH OTHER PEOPLE

We may share your event preference data to Organisers so that they can have an insight into their customers and organiser better events.

4. CAN I ACCESS THE DATA YOU HOLD ABOUT ME?

Yes – you have a right to access the data we hold about you, or to get a copy. Usually we will provide this data in a standard portable format. If you have any trouble understanding the data, let us know and we will help. You can ask us by emailing us at [email protected]. We won’t usually charge a fee for providing that information, but we may do in certain circumstances. For example, if you make repetitive requests for information, we may charge a small fee or refuse your request. To correct any inaccuracies in the information on your account, you can login to the website to update it at any time. Some information can also be updated by our support team. We don’t send many marketing emails – but if you’ve opted in to our updates and change your mind – you can unsubscribe at any time.
