Dating back to the Roaring Twenties when it began life as a cinema, the O2 Academy Brixton has been one of the capital's leading live music venues since 1983.
With a capacity of nearly 5,000 across the downstairs standing area and seated circle, The 02 Academy Brixton plays host to some of the world's best known artists, with Madonna, The Prodigy, Arcade Fire, Sex Pistols, Bob Dylan, The Clash and Iron Maiden just some of the thousands of acts to have graced the famous stage - which is the largest fixed stage in Europe.
With its striking art deco interior, elaborate proscenium arch based on the design of the Rialto Bridge and sloping floor allowing for great views from anywhere in the venue, it's little wonder that O2 Academy Brixton has scooped the NME 'Best Venue' award an incredible 12 times.
