The originator of its much-imitated style, The Bongo Club specialises in the art and music of the underground.
Pushing the boundaries of the Edinburgh scene since 1996, it’s a nightclub, a live venue and an all-round artistic hub, with a street-level-headed attitude and an international reputation.
From its roots in the old bus depot in New Street (1996-03), to Moray House, Holyrood (2003-13), and finally to its new location in the Central Library’s underground vaults on the Cowgate under George IV Bridge (since 2013), The Bongo Club has always broken the traditional mould for a nightclub.
